Government of Kerala have accorded sanction to establish Farmers Call Centre – Karshika Vivara Sanketham Oru Viralthumbil (Farmers Call Centre-cum-Agricultural Information Hub) and designated Small Farmers Agribusiness Consortium (SFAC), Kerala to implement and manage the same.
The Farmers Call Centre cum Agriculture Information Hub will be inaugurated by the Hon. Minister for Agriculture Sri. K.P. Mohanan on 9th February at the Administrative block of Agricultural Urban Wholesale Market at Anayara on NH Bye-pass in Thiruvananthapuram.
Vision
The Farmers Call Centre cum Information Hub will act as the primary delivery channel of information, which provide a single, easy, integrated and reliable means of access to farmers in the State, at any time, from anywhere and in our regional language, at free of cost to empower them to make right farming decisions in time.

Farmers Call Centre: Features
The Farmer’s Call Centre (FCC) has been conceived as an Integrated, Single Window System for providing information to farmers, with the following features:
- Farmer has a Single Window for all his information requirements related to agriculture
- The information will be delivered in a well structured and user friendly manner to meet the farmers needs.
- Possible 24 X 7 service to farmers for any information related to agriculture
- Complete tracking of interactions of farmers through call centre, which would ensure that no call is left unanswered
- Escalation of the queries to the appropriate appellate authority when the request from the farmer is unanswered within the stipulated time
- The officials of Government and the Department would get complete reports from the Information Hub, which will enable department/government to plan and execute various schemes/projects
Farmers may use various other means of communication viz., FAX/ SMS messages / MMS/e-mail /Social media messages (Face book, Twitter)/Chat/ Missed Calls or through the Portal of the Farmer Call Centre for sending queries.
